The early passing of Michael Jackson reminds me we are all Creative Beings.
What a gift we were given for such a short time.
It gives me pause and I wonder what it's all about. What are we doing here on Earth in human form. What does God expect of us, mere mortals?
Michael Jackson transcended race, gender, economic class. He was bigger than all mundane judgment. He stretched us, inspired us, and generously took us along for the ride. We got goose bumps, we got up and danced, we were mesmerized, and we knew we were in the presence of greatness.
I believe we are drawn to this crazy industry by a common thread of the need, the drive, the urge to create. An artist does it for the love of the work. You know it when you seep through a wrinkle in the time-space continuum; when we connect with our higher power, the Universe, whatever you call it... I call it Creation.
It's the complex melding of the terror of staring at a blank page. The ecstasy of being lost in the moment. The discomfort of barring your soul for all to see, to critique, to embrace or reject.
By stark comparison, I wonder what gift do I have to offer? Will I ever be good enough, create anything worth sharing? And then I think what if Michael Jackson discarded Thriller as goofy, Billy Jean - silly. Bad? Not good enough. What a crime if he thought his gifts weren't good enough to share with the world.
So Share brave souls!!!! Share your gifts with the world and together we will raise the level of consciousness on the planet.
Thank you for sharing your Gifts with us Michael and may you rest in peace great soul.
